The little tiger and the little bear live happily in their little house by the river. One day, a wooden box washes up on the shore: it says "Pa-na-ma" on the outside, and it smells like bananas on the inside. With the tiger duck in tow, the two set off. They believe that everything in Panama is much more beautiful, bigger, and better. On their long journey, they encounter Schnuddel, the monkey Bong, and the traveling donkey Mallorca. They fall off a bridge and end up after a wild ride over the high seas on a deserted island in the ocean. There, they indeed find the longed-for bananas – but in reality, they yearn for something entirely different: their home. A wonderful poetic story about friendship, home, and great happiness.
