At the age of just 20, the Polish pianist Rafał Blechacz won the prestigious Chopin Competition. In his piano recital, he explores the groundbreaking developments in piano music of the early 19th century: from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Piano Sonata No. 11 in A major, with its third movement known as the "Turkish March," to Franz Schubert's impromptus bursting with musical ideas, and culminating in the virtuosic salon pieces by Frédéric Chopin.
