The means of the mixed brass ensemble have matured into full bloom after more than two decades: inclusion instead of demonstration, light-footed virtuosity instead of ostentatious acrobatics. A renunciation of a showy demeanor, replaced by thought-provoking and touching compositions. This is what defines Federspiel. And this is exactly what "Us and Now" is. As part of the European Brass Band Championships, the Austrian brass group of exceptional caliber presents a blend of the new and the traditional, of played and sung, of lightness and depth equally in their performance.
