A mysterious thriller: Anne and George, a well-off couple in Paris, receive anonymous videotapes that show nothing but the image of a surveillance camera directed at their apartment building. The search for a possible sender leads George to blind spots in his biography and confronts him with a long-repressed guilt. Who is behind the threat remains enigmatic until the end – and yet everything is at stake for the family. Their safety, their relationship, their privileged life.

CACHÉ is both a fascinating family story and a disturbing parable about the lingering effects of colonial violence and the fears of loss experienced by a white, bourgeois class. Felicitas Brucker is known for her highly musical, visually striking theater evenings. In 2023, she was invited to the Berliner Theatertreffen with her adaptation of Ibsen's "Nora," created at the Munich Kammerspiele. Her Munich production of Wolfram Lotz's "The Politicians" was selected by The New York Times as one of the ten best European theater productions of 2022. Together with actors Bernardo Arias Porras, Sebastian Rudolph, and Johanna Wokalek, who returns to Vienna with this production, Brucker now tells Haneke's gripping philosophical chamber play.
