Glass House Fantasy: Girlfriends of Art

Since 1999, the freundinnenderkunst have been working as an artists' collective in Linz, developing projects in multiple authorship in the form of interventions and performances. They stage themselves and collectively create new images of lived experiences and critically reflected observations of the present. Currently, the collective consists of Claudia Dworschak, Marion Klimmer, Helga Lohninger, and Viktoria Schlögl, who were able to realize their eleventh greenhouse project, their 11th GLASHAUSFANTASIE, in 2024 as Artists in Residence in Namibia. The exhibition and spatial unfolding of the collective's work series provide insight into the artists' work and their performances, interventions, and installations in the form of photographic series, videos, and installations.
