Barely has the little black cat rubbed the sleep from her eyes when she is startled to discover that a massive flood is burying the old world beneath it. Just in time, she saves herself onto a boat, where a thieving lemur, a good-natured golden retriever, a sleepy capybara, and a proud secretary bird gradually find refuge as well. It soon becomes clear: their diversity is their strength, and together they face the challenges of the new world. They convey more emotions through meowing, grunting, and barking than they ever could with the help of prominent voice actors.
