The years 1938 to 1945 are considered the darkest chapter in history even in Burgenland. The special exhibition showcases the biographies of people who not only adapted to the Nazi regime but also exploited it to profit from the suffering of others. The counterpoint to these partly inhumane crimes are the life stories of the righteous, who were honored for their actions.
