The National Symphony Orchestra of the "Teleradio-Moldova" Society was founded in 1989. Its members are outstanding musicians, graduates of the conservatories of Chișinău, Republic of Moldova, Odessa, Kyiv, Lviv, St. Petersburg, and Moscow. The principal conductor and artistic director of the orchestra is the composer Gh. Mustea, a folk artist and recipient of the State Prize.
