What music was played in Goethe's house in Weimar, which composers inspired him, and what sounds accompanied his conversations and readings? We create a resonant picture of this era with works by Johann Sebastian Bach and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, as well as by Goethe's companions and friends: Bernhard Theodor Breitkopf, Johann Nepomuk Hummel, Carl Friedrich Zelter, and Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy.
