For over five decades, Peter Cornelius has been one of the most successful singer-songwriters in the German-speaking world. The frontman, singer-songwriter, and lead guitarist Peter Cornelius, known for his heartfelt ballads and uptempo songs with profound lyrics, and also loved for his virtuosic guitar playing, will celebrate his 75th birthday in 2026 with a grand tour. Joining him on stage will be his band, featuring bass, drums, and keyboards.
Cornelius, who was born in 1951 in Vienna, is one of the most influential German-speaking songwriters. His music is always inspired by personal experiences and societal observations. "Sometimes I write and compose, whether I want to or not, reflexively. As if it were the most natural thing in the world to do." Much of this can be heard in his songs.
