"So let’s make it a blast!" This is the motto of Grossstadtgeflüster, because after all, you don’t turn 23 2/3 years old every day. It’s only logical that the German combo is going on a big and, above all, loud anniversary tour.
Grossstadtgeflüster no longer considers themselves a band, but rather a state of matter. For over two decades, they have been navigating between carnival rave and radical realism - with a Berlin attitude and yet a loving eye for the unconventional. After seven studio albums and hundreds of concerts, there’s something to celebrate in 2026: The trio, consisting of Jen Bender (vocals), Raphael Schalz (synths), and Chriz Falk (drums), has already delighted the world with an extravagant canon of escapist resistance: earworms like "Ich muss gar nix," "Fickt-Euch-Allee," and most recently "Ich kündige" - declarations of independence that unashamedly reside in our ear canals. There’s always a bit of rave in there, a bit of pop, a bit of punk, a bit of hip-hop, garnished with stylistic detours and U-turns, a lot of synths, and a latent tendency towards eccentricity. The anthems of Grossstadtgeflüster are dancing declarations of independence, head-nodding liberation strikes against societal or self-imposed pressure, and pogoing ping-pongs between megalomania and failure. But they never point fingers at others, let alone kick downwards.
Their music is definitely presentable, feelable, and singable: millions of Spotify clicks, nearly 70 million YouTube views, and sold-out venues speak for themselves. The world remains complicated, and Grossstadtgeflüster stays on it: those who want to celebrate properly should come to dance and sing collectively when the anniversary tour takes the stage next year. Jen, Raphael, and Chriz are expecting you because it’s going to be something big!
