After the great success of their small indie hit "1/2 Cappuccino," Kapa Tult from Leipzig is taking the next step. Their new single "Es bringt mir nichts" (recorded with producer wizard Moses Schneider) sounds rawer and more urgent than the band's previous releases. It also musically captures typical Kapa Tult themes: hopelessness, escapism, pessimism, wanting to change the bigger picture but not knowing how.

And despite all the "in your face" attitude, there’s even more joy in playing - all without frills and overdubs. It somehow sounds almost grungy (at least for a pop band), and the NDW touch with simple yet extremely catchy keyboard melodies hits hard in the typical Kapa Tult cult style.

Kapa Tult, consisting of Inga (vocals, guitar), Robin (keys), Angi (drums, vocals), and new band member Raphael (bass), criticizes the banal issues of our time: too many bad Hollywood movies, too few therapy spots. Additionally: no licking cloths in supermarkets, booty calls that turn out to be care calls, and friends who are always busy - "because everyone is trying to improve the world or themselves."

"Finally, clear statements are being made, looking closely and honestly at what really exists and lies around in the lives of women between 20 and 30. Toxic relationships with assholes ('BitteBitteBitte'), ambiguous enthusiasm for certain talents of an ex-boyfriend ('Leck mich'), or great platonic relationships that work. Confident and absurdly funny." (Musikexpress)
