After the extremely successful tour celebrating the 50th anniversary of Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells, "The Best of Tubular Bells I, II & III" will tour Europe in the fall of 2026.

Mike Oldfield, one of the most groundbreaking and influential musicians of all time, created his visionary Tubular Bells series, which spans three albums and 27 years: "Tubular Bells," created in 1971 and released in 1973, was Mike Oldfield's first studio album. He was just 17 years old when he began composing the music and played almost all the instruments on the album by himself. Oldfield gained worldwide attention when the opening theme was used in the soundtrack of the horror film "The Exorcist" - still one of the most haunting examples of music used in film. "Tubular Bells" became the best-selling instrumental album of all time and won a Grammy in 1974 for Best Instrumental Composition. "Tubular Bells II" was finally released in 1992 (the recording of the premiere at Edinburgh Castle is one of the most viewed and most streamed music events of all time), and "Tubular Bells III" was released in 1998.

In 2023, Oldfield announced his retirement from the stage after 23 studio albums and countless chart successes. His musical partner Robin Smith, who accompanied him for over 30 years and was also present at the rare live performances of "Tubular Bells" - including at Edinburgh Castle and the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games in London - will carry the magnificent music with a high-profile live orchestra. "Tubular Bells I" will be performed in its entirety, along with extended sections from "Tubular Bells II" and "Tubular Bells III," as well as the worldwide hit single "Moonlight Shadow."

"A magnificent performance of a piece that's now part of the fabric of popular culture. And when you think Mike Oldfield was just 17 when he began writing it, and was 19 when the album was released, it's nothing short of a work of genius." (Newcastle Chronicle)

"This is a concert for anyone, for those who grabbed the album when it came out on vinyl in 1973 to the Spotify audiences of today. Music is at its best when it’s live! A most enjoyable experience. I would go and see this show again in a heartbeat." (Brighton and Hove News)
