In the pre-Christmas spirit, you will hear the most famous songs from the repertoire of The Christmas Gospel. The selected voices of the Christmas Gospel present these with unparalleled intensity and quality.

The Early Years
The roots of black gospels and spirituals date back to the early 18th century. At that time, African slaves developed their first English-language hymns in the foreign land of America. During this time, they still held onto their own moral concepts and religious beliefs.

The History of the Ensemble
For almost twenty years, we have traveled through the USA to proclaim the joyful message in churches and theaters. During this time, I had the privilege of experiencing some of the best gospel singers that America has to offer. But no matter where my travels took me, I always kept my ears open.

In my own community in Harlem, the dream arose to bring together some of the best American gospel singers as a group, so they could share their spiritual fire with brothers and sisters in Europe. Thanks to the help of our producers and organizers, we can now live this dream.

When the singers of the ensemble "The Christmas Gospel" raise their crystal-clear voices to the highest registers both at the beginning and at the end of the concert, a shiver regularly runs through the audience. This is the spirit of gospel - a frequently heard opinion about the performance of "The Christmas Gospel."

Of course, the classics of gospel such as "Oh Happy Day," "Amazing Grace," and "When the Saints" are also part of the ensemble's repertoire, which is particularly convincing due to the balance of female and male voices. Gospel classics and modern soul ballads - feeling and temperament unite here to create a fascinating experience.

The diverse experiences that The Christmas Gospel has gathered on stage, along with their well-known knack for selecting their singers, lead us to expect sold-out churches and concert halls during the upcoming tour of The Christmas Gospel in Germany and Austria from 2000 to 2025.

It is a concert - but the atmosphere of the famous services of the Black Churches allows the audience on the grand Austria tour in 2025 to become part of the "community." It is the cheerful contemplation that makes these concerts of "The Christmas Gospel" an extraordinary event.
