Sea in Sight - The Festival of the Greeks 2026
For years, the legendary "Festival of the Greeks" featuring Lakis & Achwach and selected guests has taken place at the Wiener Metropol at the beginning of the year. The festival/concert, which sells out year after year, is well-known for its fine Greek/East Mediterranean music that gets directly into your legs. However, that alone does not account for its uniqueness: The positive Greek-Levantine atmosphere that delights the esteemed audience has often led to a premature end to winter, at least for a short time. This phenomenon has caused headaches for climate researchers.
And to ensure that everyone can join this time, the festival will take place on Friday, January 23, 2026, on the Metropol stage.
On board, you will be welcomed by Lakis Jordanopoulos and a selected crew of musicians: Loukia Agapiou, Olga Kessaris, Kostas Liaskos, Antonis Vounelakos, Manfred Balasch, Aleksander Pandilovski, Jovan Torbica, and Yusuf Topcu.
