Italy in the GLOBE: The successful program of the Vienna cult band and the legendary Rapid player is a musical passion project of the three tenors Thomas Schreiber, Toni Matosic, and Hans Krankl. Their love for Italian music and American music with Italian roots allows for an unprecedented blend of oldies and superhits from the last few decades. On one hand, there’s Adriano Celentano’s “Questo ragazzo della via Gluck,” Gianni Morandi’s “Sciende la piogga,” Zucchero’s “Guantanamera,” Tony Dallara’s “Come prima,” and on the other hand, Dean Martin’s “That’s Amore” and “On an Evening in Roma,” Elvis Presley’s “It’s Now or Never” and “Surrender,” Faust Leali’s “Hurt,” among many others. As always, alongside the special interpretations of the songs, there is a wealth of information and witty remarks provided spontaneously by the protagonists in the typical Monti Beton style. CHEERS!
