Ugliness - Vestibule in the Burgtheater

No day goes by without us looking in the mirror. Few days pass when we look in the mirror and think, "Wow, you look fantastic today!" We learn what is beautiful. We learn what is not beautiful. We evaluate and are evaluated. Some bodies have a harder time from birth than others. White bodies are "the beautiful ones." Young, fit bodies without visible disabilities are "the beautiful ones." Cis bodies are "the beautiful ones." Enough of that! In this play development, the ugliness is celebrated with young people between the ages of 12 and 16, and everything that is considered "beautiful" is questioned.
