The Copies - Vestibule in the Burgtheater

Bernard 2 learns that he is a clone. Father Salter had him created from the cell material of the shared biological child after the mother's suicide. Moreover, the "real" Bernard is still alive, along with twenty other clones that the hospital has illegally produced. Confronted with this realization and unanswered questions about original and counterfeit, identity and trauma, violence and hope, Bernard 2 decides that he must take action. THE COPIES is a thriller that questions the foundations of our existence and imagines a world where individuality is worthless. The young director Sebastian McKimm makes his Vienna debut with this production.
