HEIRS – Who gets the house?

In Theater am Werk, a house floats. Two independent theater ensembles from Graz have formed a pact to confront the theme of inheritance here. Who is rich in what way? Who is expected to inherit how much? What would be fair, and who gets the house? Amidst hustle and silence, scenes, voices, and bodies overlap. The personal meets societal debates about justice and the future. Fifty objects appear – including this: genetic heritage. An actress hangs a deer antler in the house. It seems dangerous and fragile, like a symbol of the weight of inheritance, a trophy, a burden, and a monument all at once. At the beginning of inheritance lies loss.
