The Verdi year 2026 must of course be celebrated appropriately! At the suggestion of our resourceful prima donna Annette Fischer, we have decided to not only feature Giuseppe Verdi in a festive gala but also to give a voice and sound to some of his contemporaries: In addition to scenes from famous Verdi operas such as "Aida," we are planning for the first time excerpts from Verdi's "Simone Boccanegra," as well as music from "Cavalleria Rusticana" by Ruggero Leoncavallo, "Manon Lescaut" by Giacomo Puccini, "Mefistofele" by Arrigo Boito, and much more.
