The Otelo Goisern is starting its new winter cinema season at the beginning of November.
This year, a varied film program has once again been selected – from comedy to family film, from quiet poetry to socially critical humor.
About the film
A humorous and touching story about the unusual friendship between Igor, a physically disabled bicycle courier and amateur philosopher, and Louis, a stressed-out undertaker, who meet after an accident and together embark on a road trip in a hearse to southern France, rediscovering their lives and their prejudices.
The physically disabled amateur philosopher Igor works as a bicycle courier for organic vegetables. Louis, on the other hand, is a workaholic who has forgotten the joy of life in his funeral business due to his overwhelming workload. When he accidentally hits Igor on his bicycle, he feels doubly embarrassed: first, because of his carelessness, and second, because he has obviously injured a person with special needs. However, the accident leads to surprising consequences, as the rather lonely Igor has decided that Louis would be a perfect new friend for him. Thus, Louis and Igor set off on an adventurous journey in the hearse that turns their lives upside down.
The film humorously tells the story of an extraordinary friendship that thoroughly addresses prejudices and, above all, celebrates one thing: life itself.
