The Otelo Goisern is starting its new winter cinema season at the beginning of November.
This year, a diverse film program has been selected once again – from comedy to family film, from quiet poetry to socially critical humor.

About the film:
The reclusive bookseller Carl Kollhoff personally delivers books to his regular customers every day. With the unexpected companionship of nine-year-old Schascha, he slowly begins to break out of his isolation, as both enrich their lives and those of others with the power of books and friendship.

Day after day, Carl Kollhoff stands in the back room of a bookstore, carefully wrapping books in paper to deliver them to his regular customers in the city.

Books are the greatest joy of the taciturn, older man, who otherwise avoids any contact with other people. During one of his rounds, nine-year-old Schascha attaches herself to his heels. Reluctantly, Carl engages with the girl, who from then on accompanies him on his deliveries and calls him the "Book Walker." Schascha quickly wins the hearts of Carl's regular customers, stirring up their lives significantly and prompting Carl to break out of his own world.
