OTELO - Winter Cinema - "Love Letters from Nice"

When it gets cold outside, the screen flickers again inside: The Otelo Goisern is starting its new winter cinema season at the beginning of November. This year, a diverse film program has been selected once again – from comedy to family film, from quiet poetry to socially critical humor.

About the film:

A comedy about a retired general who, after 50 years of marriage, finds old love letters in the attic that his wife received from a mutual friend 40 years ago. Filled with jealousy and revenge plans, he travels with her to Nice to confront the former lover.

When François stumbles upon a few old love letters in the attic, the retired general is taken completely by surprise. The wordy outpourings about his wife Annie's "vibrant Venus hill" definitely do not come from him. The fact that the letters were written 40 years ago is of no concern to him. That Annie cheated on him in the early days of their marriage is another matter!

François demands satisfaction and tries to track down the long-ago Casanova together with Annie. One lead takes them to Nice. Annie enjoys the trip into her past, while François gets caught up in his revenge plans. Get ready for a film filled with fun and situational comedy on the sun-drenched Côte d'Azur!
