Since 2009, the six-member formation led by singer Johannes Eder has been developing a distinctive sound that blends indie rock, alternative, and electronic elements. Hailing from Steyr, Catastrophe & Cure embodies the vibrant Austrian music scene – rooted in the region yet oriented towards the international stage.

Their fifth studio album "In The Wind" marks a conscious return to dense guitar arrangements. The lyrics revolve around transience, acceptance, and the small in-between states of life.
