Erwin & Edwin: Brass-Electro from Vienna at OKH

Brass music that makes you dance

Erwin & Edwin have created their own niche in the Austrian music scene since 2012. The five musicians combine the brass music tradition of the Innviertel with electronic beats, pop, hip-hop, and rock. The result: danceable music that works both in clubs and at beer tents.

With their current album "DES IS JO DES," the Viennese group showcases their versatility like never before. In addition to their characteristic brass-electro tracks, they have also developed acoustic songs that highlight their musical range. "We have songs for the club in the city and for the beer tent in the countryside," explains drummer Simon Gramberger about the concept.

From Vienna to the charts

The band, consisting of Simon Gramberger (drums, trombone), Valentin Reiter (bass trumpet), Michael Mosbacher (guitar), Georg Huber (brass instruments), and rapper Alix, has already proven that innovative music can also be commercially successful. They reached number 1 on the Austrian Electronic Charts on iTunes and have performed at festivals like Frequency and Urban Art Forms.

Media describe Erwin & Edwin as "one of the coolest bands in the country" (Kurier) and praise their "explosive live shows" as well as their high instrumental quality.
