No text, no voice is needed for the joyful abundance of Frödl. But jazz can do it. It can rock, and it definitely grooves. Funky. In imaginative and artistic sequences, the musicians showcase their skills. Not through ostentatious show-off, quite the opposite. In a well-considered, compositionally refined manner, it flows effortlessly and multiplies into pure ecstasy. As groovy solos, as witty interludes that calmly prove that music can be so much more than just danceable, commercial, or emotionally catalytic. Frödl is an acoustic treat that hasn't been served in a long time. Convincing, because the sound reflects the musical life paths of the protagonists. Credible, because these are clearly the vibes they have always wanted to create. Like good wine, it seems the time had to be right for them to produce it. Put the record on, lean back, and smile.
