As a district museum, the Herzogsburg documents the long and eventful history of our city and the district, showcasing outstanding artistic and cultural achievements. The early history of our region can be explored in the rich archaeological collection. Models and views, as well as remarkable original exhibits, illustrate the development of the Ranshofen Palatinate and the city of Braunau. Selected focal points are dedicated to important themes in the city's history, such as crafts, guilds, and the fire department.
