Spring Concert of the Local Music Band Obertraun

The local brass band Obertraun is hosting its annual spring concert on Saturday, April 25, at the Federal Sports and Leisure Center, where the youth ensemble will also perform. Conductor Josef Pühringer and his deputy Michaela Eggenreiter have put together a colorful musical bouquet for the musical highlight of the "Musician Year."

In the first part of the concert, traditional brass music will be predominantly featured. Marches, waltzes, polkas, and overtures will, of course, be included. Noteworthy is the refreshingly lively "Archivisten Polka" by Markus Nimmervoll and the waltz "Wiener Praterleben" by Siegfried Translateur.

The second part opens with two pieces performed by the OMK youth ensemble, which has been rehearsing together once a week under the direction of Michaela Eggenreiter and Katharina Perstl since the beginning of the year.

The rest of the concert evening will consist of modern brass music. Highlights will include brass arrangements of songs by British soul singer Adele and catchy tunes from the 60s and 80s.
