There simply aren't enough superlatives to adequately honor Deep Purple's contribution to rock music. With over 100 million albums sold and decades of sold-out stadium and arena tours around the globe, it's hardly surprising that the band's influence is held in such high regard. In 2008, they were awarded the "Legend Award" at the World Music Awards, and in 2016, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Deep Purple are truly "rock royalty" – and their reign continues unabated.

With a body of work spanning seven decades, Deep Purple co-founded and shaped the hard rock genre while consistently venturing into new musical territories – keeping their sound fresh and attracting new fans, in addition to the legions who have remained loyal to the band since its inception.

The celebrated MKII lineup featuring Ian Gillan, Roger Glover, Ian Paice, Jon Lord, and Ritchie Blackmore was responsible for many of the defining rock albums of the early 1970s, including "Made in Japan," which is widely regarded as one of the most important and influential live albums of all time.

Known as one of the hardest-working bands in existence, Deep Purple has consistently released number-one albums since their formation in 1968 and has toured the world with only a few breaks. In the last ten years alone, the band has sold over two million albums and achieved four consecutive number-one albums in Germany – all with top placements in the European charts – impressively underscoring that the British legends remain at the forefront of international rock in the new millennium.

In 2022, the sad news of Steve Morse's departure for personal reasons shook the fanbase. Deep Purple then turned to the virtuoso guitarist Simon McBride and finished the year with renewed energy and enthusiasm – much to the delight of fans worldwide.

In 2024, Deep Purple once again stormed to the top of the charts: their current studio album "=1" reached number one in three countries. This album is the band's first release with Simon McBride and continues their impressive series of global chart successes – following "Whoosh!" (2020), "inFinite" (2017), and "NOW What?!" (2013).

For the fifth time (including their pandemic cover album "Turning To Crime"), the band collaborated with legendary producer Bob Ezrin. The album received rave reviews and is said to evoke the classic, groundbreaking Deep Purple sound without relying solely on nostalgia.

The enigmatic title "=1" symbolizes the idea that in an increasingly complex world, everything ultimately condenses into a single, unified essence – everything is one. Alongside the release of "=1," the band embarked on another world tour in 2024, driving their ticket sales to over a million since 2022, further solidifying their status as one of the most active stadium and arena bands in rock music.

Deep Purple has remained true to their musical roots: from an eclectic mix of various styles, they have created a distinctive sound that defines the band today – while also establishing a legacy that few other formations could ever achieve. The band has written and produced so many "classic," well-known, and beloved songs that their audience spans generations and backgrounds – something Deep Purple proudly celebrates.

With 2025 already accompanied by rumors of new recordings and ongoing concert announcements worldwide, these legendary hard rock heroes show no signs of slowing down. Instead, they continue to push the boundaries of the genre – for fans all over the world.
