In 1970, the formerly mixed agricultural business was expanded into a pure wine-growing business, which Klaus Haberkern continues to run with great care. After completing an apprenticeship as a wine merchant and winemaker, he expanded his qualifications by training as a state-certified wine-growing economist. In 1990, he passed the master winemaker's examination.
