Vital mushroom hike

Do you know the delicious edible mushrooms like chestnut, porcini, and champignon? Or have you ever heard of them? Almost everyone has seen so-called poisonous mushrooms like the fly agaric or the death cap. But who knows that mushrooms can also be used for the prevention, relief, and treatment of diseases? Even inedible tree fungi like the birch polypore are said to have healing properties! On our guided mushroom hike in the Dammer Mountains, we will encounter local "vital mushrooms" that grow year-round – even in winter. Our knowledgeable mushroom coach (DGfM) will explain possible areas of application and how we should collect, prepare, and store the so-called medicinal mushrooms for our own use. Of course, we will also explain the rules that apply to mushroom harvesting for personal use.
