Stress is a ubiquitous phenomenon that contributes to coping with challenges in moderation. However, it becomes problematic when stress dominates daily life and becomes chronic. Long-term stress can lead to health impairments such as muscle tension, increased susceptibility to infections, cardiovascular diseases, exhaustion, or depression. The millennia-old practice of mindfulness offers effective methods in today's world to prevent stress and learn to handle it consciously. It allows individuals to keep themselves and their own needs in sight and to shape their lives autonomously. As part of the "better living!" lecture series, a talk on the topic of "Stress Management through the Practice of Mindfulness (MBSR)" is being offered. The speaker is Daniel Sommereisen from MBSR Soest. The event will take place in the cultural barn of Bad Sassendorf. This lecture provides well-founded insights into the practice of mindfulness and its application for stress management. Participants will receive valuable impulses to face the challenges of everyday life with more calmness and to sustainably improve their quality of life.
