Summer Delight Tour - at the organic winery Johannes Zillinger

For over 40 years, the Zillinger family in Velm-Götzendorf has been operating a biodynamic winery focused on multiple land use. Great emphasis is placed on maintaining healthy soil in the vineyard. Since 2019, this has also been supported by Breton dwarf sheep, chickens, and Kunekune pigs, all of which graze among the vines. Kunekune pigs are part of a nearly extinct breed that cannot be compared to classic domestic pigs. Rare insects also thrive in the lively vineyard, and long-forgotten herbs are reappearing. Johannes has many ideas and is gradually implementing them.

Drive to the vineyard and visit the pigs, sheep, and chickens with important information about the Kunekune pigs. Explanation of multiple land use in the vineyard. Presentation of the new project "Herb Vineyard" and explanation of its connection to wild products.

Tasting: Vineyard herb schnapps, wines, and wild liver pâté, as well as cured game and game sausage (produced by the local hunting association).

Grilled sausage and cheese sausages from Kunekune pigs, various spreads, and game specialties.
