Mike Maisack and Gaby Fischer tell the Celtic fairy tale of King Leir, a king from the Isle of Mist.
It is a variant of the fairy tale of salt which has several variations in different cultural circles,
the Brothers Grimm call it in their collection “The Goose Girl at the Well”,
“The Salt Prince” is the Slovak version and Russia simply calls it “The Fairy Tale of Salt”.
Shakespeare must have known it too; he used it as the basis for his play “King Lear”.
The Trio Mike Maisack will create a touching concert with the story accompanied by suitable music selected from the Irish-Celtic cultural sphere.
