Treasures of Baiersbronn: Red Goat Cheese with Oregano

Guided Hike A short walk leads from Röt through the Rauhwäldle to the Bioland Hof-Peterle farm in Schönegründ. From early May through late October, Mr. Peterle milks his goats every evening. The foundation for yet another Baiersbronn treasure lies in herb-rich pastures, hay, and the absence of silage. We’ll let you in on the ingredients ahead of time: This raw milk cheese consists only of pure goat’s milk, wild marjoram, and salt. Pure nature. As is often the case with treasures, the goat cheese with wild marjoram is only available in limited quantities. After a farm tour, tasting, and shopping at the farm store, the hike leads through Schönegründ, past stately farmhouses, and back to Röt. Difficulty: The route is approximately 4.5 km long. The difficulty level is easy. Suitable for: The tour is not suitable for strollers. Subject to availability, a baby carrier can be rented. Requirements: Children may only participate when accompanied by an adult. The tour will take place as soon as the minimum number of participants is reached.
