Nachtwächter Silvester Dine-around

The night watchmen of Steyr, dressed in traditional attire with halberds, lanterns, and horns, await you on the terrace of the Orangerie with a glass of red wine-fruit punch and non-alcoholic apple-spice tea.

Together with the catering from the Orangerie, two night watchmen will accompany your group of approximately 30 guests in varying order to the surprise locations:

Climb to the tower of the parish church
with breathtaking views over the old town of Steyr, 228 steps
Appetizer at the Steyrer Kripperl
Performance of medieval craft scenes at the oldest still-operating puppet theater (since 1850), 455 figures, Steyr dialect, duration about ten minutes.
Three types of homemade bread: ham/bacon, salmon, potato cheese
Steyrdorf soup in the Michaeler cellar
Two-story vaulted cellar from the 15th/16th century, barrel halls, cobblestone flooring, former wine cellar of the Michaeler church, presentation of the oldest existing film material from Steyr, medieval musicians
Chestnut celery cream soup; served with bread and a glass of Kamptal Veltliner or mineral water
New Year's Eve celebration in the Orangerie in the castle park at 9:15 PM
After the farewell of the night watchmen, all groups will gather in the Orangerie.
Main courses (of your choice) served in the Orangerie:
Pasta Strozzapretti with braised pumpkin and sage
Pan-fried salmon fillet on winter potato ragout and salsify
Supreme of guinea fowl with sour cherry sauce, potato gratin, and vanilla carrots
Dessert served in the Orangerie:
Apple-cream schmacrn with homemade cinnamon-butter cookie ice cream
Midnight in the Orangerie castle park / 11:30 PM
Fire show. Rocks, sparkling wine, Pummerin & midnight waltz.
